But @Shagger is right. The development studio behind the highly controversial mass shooter simulator The game may be trash but I applaude the devs for trying something different at least.
This decision sparked even more controversy, and eventually compelled Steam to reintroduce it to their service, and send a personal apology letter from Gabe Newell himself to the developer, Destructive Creations. @Fido007 I don't think you understood what I was saying... lmao 15 y/o edgelord me would have loved this.
I’ve been seeing articles and reports saying that Hatred is going to be released on Switch some time this year. This game is pretty bad, but that shouldn't be a surprise considering it only exists for its shock value.
Has anyone else seen this? Are you waiting? The game is five years old, so this just doesn't add up. This game's "controversy" was entirely orchestrated by the publisher back in 2015 and it's annoying to see it cluttering up my news feed five years later.
There never was a "seal of quality" it was just there to show that Nintendo approved it to be released on the NES not the actual quality of the game it self. I bet he's the type of person who doesn't want any form of gun control in his country. Are you waiting? RELATED: Pull List: 20 Controversial Games Pulled From The Shelves, Happy Easter our beloved fans Recently we revealed something regarding Nintendo Switch. @SwitchForce Actually I play none of the above and note I never said this game shouldn't exist... Just said hard pass for me. I know my opinion is relatively unpopular, but I have to stand by my principles. @somebread Actually the Dynasty Warrior devs made a Berserk game that kept in a lot of stuff you'd think they'd cut out.
They don't allow AO games on console, so I'm guessing this will either be censored, or it's been re-rated as an M, as it was never really an AO game in the first place. Released in 2015, the game gained notoriety for its glorification of violence – something which caused Valve to remove it from their Steam Greenlight service. 'Simulation' by definition is imitation of life. He's clearly incapable of having a calm civilised conversation. All the latest gaming news, game reviews and trailers. No release date has been revealed yet, either. @jcvandan Yeah, I agree, it’s the difference between horror movies like It and horror movies like Cannibal Holocaust. Have you nothing intelligent to say? I'm a developer that works in enterprise software. I like how dark this game looks.
I think the problem with this game lies in the very nature of games. You say I’m a sheep but use a far-right meme to label me based on comments on a Nintendo website? However. Wasn't this game awful and a total joke that was sold purely on how "edgy" it was?
I don't see how people can suddenly feel it's taboo to make a game where you murder characters. Yeah this looks like something an edgy 14 year-old created, no thanks.
Similarly, there is no Australian X18+ rating for games (it exists only for film/home video via licensed venues, and only in ACT/NT, so the vast majority of the country don't even have access to such material) so there is no risk of the Aussie eShop being flooded with sexually explicit games (though our R18+ classification places "virtually no restrictions" on nudity!). Games like HATRED are nothing to abhor or despise, to do so would be a waste of emotion.
But then I guess the love of violence is just one of the signs of the times. Nonetheless, Hatred was rated as AO (Adults Only 18+) by the ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) for its extremely violent and graphic gameplay, which certainly made it stand out from similar violent games with an M (Mature 17+) rating. pic.twitter.com/a16anUq5St.
@Alpha-2002 The music in this game is great. None of these bits have made me into a lovesick swooner, a sadistic killer or a reactionary anarchist. Controversial "Adults Only" Murder Simulator Hatred Is Coming To Nintendo Switch. Emily Byrnes said Okay, what the hecc. @NoTinderLife No, this one really is a murder simulator.
Still, even more could be said about the statement Hatred makes against games being considered art, and whether that alone means this game should be considered art. The game stars an unnamed man who despises human society and decides to set out on a "genocide crusade," ending as many human lives as possible before dying himself. To me it seems like the equivalent of a middle schooler turning in a essay full of cursewords after they got in trouble for being too inappropriate in class.
@patbacknitro18 DOOM Eternal has a plot and is a game. That just shows how perverted your mindset is. The edginess is laughable. Copyright @ 2019-20 VGR.com
That came out on Switch, and one of the boss fights had your shrunk down character fight magical underwear stealing elves underneath your 2 parents having sex. @LavaTwilight surely you can see the difference between games that use extreme violence as a tool to say something interesting and a game like this which is just extremist trolling. So I don't see how relevant it is that the devs happen to be Polish (it's not like you're specifically targeting specific ethnic groups in the game; if this was "Holocaust Tycoon" or something, you'd have more of a point).
I was intrigued at first, but now I’m disappointed after players’ first hand opinions of the game. It's basically Postal 1/Redux but far better, a spiritual successor that nobody else wanted to make.
Off topic I know, but it looks neat and I was curious. The majority couldn't stomach it. Recently we revealed something regarding Nintendo Switch. Hatred (la Haine) est porté sur Nintendo Switch. @KitsuneNight Quite frankly I find those games unacceptable too. Nope. At the moment the only place to get the game is on Steam. About This Game Hatred fills your whole body. @popey1980 read carefully doesnt allow AO games on Eshop i feel physical release is gonna be the only way to get this game!!! The title doesn’t have a release date but the fact it’s making it to Switch at all is something of a surprise.
Just genuine bad. If it wasn't for how "dangerous" it says it is, there would be no reason to talk about it. Manhunt 2 got an M rating on Wii though and Thrill Kill got cancelled. Even a cursory glance at the eShop's offerings any given week speaks volumes; the Nintendo Seal of Quality is long, long gone, replaced by the Nintendo Seal of Quantity. The only thing that matters is your gun and the pure Armageddon that you want to unleash.
Peter has been playing video games ever since he was a child, pulling his chair up to the TV so he could hold the GameCube controller for Wind Waker. For anyone wondering why this is a murder simulator and something like Halo or Doom isn't: Those games give context to the violence (and have other things, like great music, that makes them worthy of the purchase).
Game was barely mechanically sound. We’re only just moving away from the gaming industry being blamed for every act of violence and while this game may be seen as helpful for free speech purposes, if more games glorifying mass murder are widely sold then ultimately it might impact other, more nuanced games being sold since the ratings boards could take a harsher stance on all violence in games. By no means should their crappy, edgy little game be censored. I’m hoping these reports aren’t bunk, but I’m not sure whether I should put any hope in this. Destructive Creations has announced that it is inexplicably bringing its controversial, hyper-violent shooter Hatred to the Nintendo Switch. This is just edgelord crap, it isn't very good and it wouldn't be of any note without the fake contraversy. As for the game's quality, it currently holds a Metacritic rating of 43/100, with the user score being 4.7.
@patbacknitro18 considering the only berserk games aren't visual novel titles, and those titles as far as I know skip right past the golden age part with gambino and/or omit the uh...eclipse bit with casca, not exactly sure it fits any part of the bill there.
